Registration is open NOW for all skating programs at the Kevin Bell Arena.We have programs for all -- from toddlers to adults, youth hockey teams, learn to skate, men's/women's, figure skating, curling and broomball.

Classes are available for adults and teens (12+) on Tues/Thurs/Fri from 9:30-11:30am, Tuesdays from 6:45-8:45pm, & Sundays from 10am-1pm.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Pickleball was invented in the mid 1960s as a children's backyard game.
Have you been Harvesting Kindness? The Pratt Museum is collecting nonperishable food items in support of the Homer Food Pantry's Harvesting Kindness fall canned and nonperishable food drive. Bring one food item per person to receive discounted admission to the Pratt Museum - $10 per adult and $5 per child age 6-12. Each visitor who contributes a food item will also be entered to win a Family Level Membership to the Pratt Museum. Come on in anytime Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 4pm. The Food Drive runs through December 20.

Stop by for good Homer eats, live music, and to pick up something special made by hand by someone in your community! Featuring a wide variety of arts, crafts, packaged local foods, clothing, soaps, plants, and more, the Nutcracker Faire is sure to have something for everyone this holiday season.

Fun With 5x6x7, a community show of small works at the Homer Council on the Arts Gallery on 10/7 from 5-7pm! This open call group show features over 100 artworks from artists across Alaska showcasing a variety of mediums and styles, just in time for holiday gift giving.

The Anchor Point Food Pantry will be closed Friday November 21 and open Saturday November 22 to distribute Thanksgiving baskets. Also closed Friday November 28.When hunger weighs heavily, it’s hard to focus, hard to thrive, and hard to stay well. At the Anchor Point Food Pantry, we meet that need with empathy, respect, and cheerful hearts—because no one should have to face hunger alone. We provide a weekly food line and meals, monthly TEFAP commodities, holiday food boxes, summer produce, hungry kids' weekend meal packs and a kids' summer lunch bag program. Attention Southern Kenai Peninsula Farmers: on Thursday, December 11, 5 - 7:30 pm, Homer Soil and Water, and Kachemak Bay Campus are hosting a get-together to connect & network with other farmers, share how the season went, your observations, challenges you'd like to overcome, or any other ideas you may wish to bounce off the group. Soup will be provided. If you have a dish you love to make and want to share, please do, but it is not required. Also, KBC's Ag Program would love to get your thoughts on this coming spring's Southcentral Growers Conference. Homer Soil & Water staff will also welcome Q&A about NRCS programs, technical assistance, and site visits, as well as feedback on what you'd like to see from us! This class is on Wednesdays & Sundays from 6:45-8:45pm and Fridays from 6-8pm.

We're SO EXCITED to be able to continue our Teen Nights at the SPARC every Friday from 8-10:30pm. This is a FREE night for our Homer teens (7th-12th grade) to hang out in a safe, drug-free environment. Kids have access to all our equipment, including our new ping-pong table. Pizza & drinks will be provided.
***PLEASE bring clean indoor shoes to change into in the entry area. And all minors must have a liability waiver on file signed by parent/guardian***
If you would like to host a Teen Night evening, please fill out the FORM at sparchomer.org/forms/. Some examples of activities that could take place would be basketball, dodgeball, kickball, nerf party, cornhole (we have 1 set), floor hockey (we have soft pucks & 10 sticks), etc.
