2013 Ferry Schedule Released Early

Aaron Selbig

The Alaska Marine Highway System released its 2013 summer schedule Wednesday, a little bit earlier than usual.

Ferry chief Mike Neussl said in a news release that releasing the schedule early would benefit the communities and businesses served by the marine highway system, giving extra time to plan trips and to book them in advance. Release of the 2013 summer schedule follows a public comment period held in August, which Neussl says resulted in several changes.

Travelers are encouraged to make reservations in advance either online at FerryAlaska.com or by calling 1-800-642-0066.
